Raul’s greatest success to date has been with his club. He was one of the star players in the side that won the European Cup final of 1998, beating Juventus in the final. He tasted champions league success once again two years later as Real lifted the trophy once again two years later. It was a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Valencia. The rise of Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Iker Casillas helped Real Madrid win the champions league in 1998 and 2000. His great agility and lightning reflexes make him a brilliant shot stopper, showing that he is difficult to beat, even in one on one situations. Casillas was Real’s number one goalkeeper  as Real Madrid put out Bayern Munich and Manchester United on their way to the champions league final, where they met Valencia.
